UN Secretary General Report highlights the work of the Internet & Jurisdiction Policy Network

The 2019 United Nations Secretary General Report prepared by UNCTAD for the Economic and Social Council of the UN General Assembly on the “Progress made in the implementation of and follow-up to the outcomes of the World Summit on the Information Society” highlights the work of the Internet & Jurisdiction Policy Network. 


In the assessment of “implementation and follow-up at the international level”, the organisation’s work is referenced in the section on the “enabling environment” (p13): 


“There has been growing interest in the relationship between national jurisdictions and international governance. The Internet and Jurisdiction Policy Network is preparing a global status report on jurisdiction in support of its Ottawa Road Map to formulate multistakeholder approaches.”
