Both the DNS Abuse Institute and its ‘Generic Anti-Abuse Policy’ template build on the work of the Internet & Jurisdiction Policy Network’s Domains and Jurisdiction Contact Group. The ‘Generic Anti-Abuse Policy’ template is not an outcome of the Domains and Jurisdiction Contact Group; however the Secretariat of the Internet & Jurisdiction Policy Network believes that it is a useful tool for Operators.

“We applaud this work by the DNS Abuse Institute as an important resource for DNS Operators and the public. The development of a generic Anti-Abuse Policy helps establish a framework for abuse mitigation and provides transparency to end-users concerning how abuse is addressed at the DNS level.”, Elizabeth Behsudi, Director of the Domains & Jurisdiction Program, Internet & Jurisdiction Policy Network.
