The third preparatory meeting for the UN Internet Governance Forum 2013 by Internet & Jurisdiction took place in New Delhi, India on September 16-17, 2013. Following regional workshops in Latin America (Rio de Janeiro) and Europe(Paris), the I&J India workshop gathered representatives from the Indian government, platforms, operators and civil society to discuss fair process frameworks that can address the tension between the cross-border nature of the Internet and national jurisdictions through procedural interfaces that can guarantee the interoperability between heterogeneous normative orders. The workshop was organized in cooperation with the Center for Communication Governance at the National Law University Delhi.

The insights of the global preparatory process will feed into the IGF 2013 Workshop 42 “Fair process frameworks for cross-border online spaces."
