Google has been summoned to the UK Cabinet Office after it appeared that government advertisement was displayed alongside extremist videos. The government, alongside major companies (The Guardian, L’Oréal) has also removed their advertising from Google and Youtube. The managing director of Google UK & Ireland issued a statement apologizing and promising "a thorough review of our ads policies and brand controls."
