On May 11, 2021 the Secretariat of the Internet & Jurisdiction Policy Network presented the I&JPN Toolkits on DNS Level Action to Address Abuses, Cross-border access to Electronic Evidence and Cross-border Content Moderation and Restrictions to law enforcement in the United Kingdom during a Nominet Education and Networking Session.

Nominet is a private membership company, limited by guarantee with ~2,500 members, established to run the .UK domain name registry for the public benefit. It provides backend services for other registries as well as registry services for over 70 top level domains, including .bbc, .wales and .london.

The Session provided an opportunity to share the Toolkits with over 100 actors from UK enforcement and government agencies whose activities are increasingly impacted by the cross-border internet. The presentations framed the key issues each Toolkit seeks to address to encourage legal interoperability and highlighted the resources they include of use to law enforcement.

The I&JPN Toolkits are the result of broad consultations with key policy actors since the 1st Global Conference of the Internet & Jurisdiction Policy Network in 2016, and the tireless work of governments, companies, international organizations, civil society, technical operators, and academics who have collaborated to develop interoperable solutions to cross-border access to electronic evidence, cross-border content moderation and how to address abuse at the DNS level.
