Internet & Jurisdiction’s Bertrand de la Chapelle spoke at the Annual Conference of the International Bar Association (IBA), which took place from October 4-9, 2015 in Vienna, Austria. The workshop was organized by the IBA’s Media Law Committee and titled Are online platforms the new nation state? Achieving privacy, transparency and accountability in the digital age.

Bertrand de La Chapelle discussed the growing responsibilities that are bestowed upon private internet intermediaries with regards to online content that is globally accessible. Mr. La Chapelle also serves as an expert on the Council of Europe's Committee of Experts on Internet Intermediaries.
