Bertrand de La Chapelle will speak at the "Workshop on Crossborder Collaboration in Fighting Cybercrime", hosted by EURid and Europol, which will take place in Brussels, Belgium, on December 7, 2017. 


The Executive Director of the Secretariat of the Internet & Jurisdiction Policy Network will talk during the first session, which addresses the current legal tools and jurisdictional issues in international cooperation for the fight against cybercrime. Other speakers in the first session are Cathrin Bauer-Bulst, Deputy Head of Unit, Fight against Cybercrime and Child Sexual Abuse at the European Commission, and Erik Planken, Senior Policy Advisor, Cybercrime, at the Council of Europe.


The Workshop is intended to "stimulate enhanced networking, legislation, and information sharing to better protect the European online community and further the fight against cybercrime."
