The Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation (CTO) has invited the Secretariat of the Internet & Jurisdiction Policy Network to participate in its Governmental Advisory Committee (GAC) meeting scheduled for Wednesday, November 1, 2017. This meeting will take place within the context of ICANN60, which will be held at Abu- Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, from October 28 to  November 3, 2017.


The GAC’s goal is advise ICANN on the public policy aspects of its responsibilities regarding to the Internet Domain Name System (DNS). The specific purpose of the CTO’s invitation is to provide Executive Director Bertrand de La Chapelle with the opportunity to present the global multistakeholder policy network and to strengthen relationships with the Commonwealth.

It will be a seven-day meeting that will focus on outreach, capacity building, and showcasing ICANN’s work to a broader global audience.
